The Arts Department at Caloundra SHS is a dynamic and energetic part of the school community that proudly includes five distinct key arts subjects. There are Dance, Drama, Media (FTVNM), Music and Visual Arts.
The Arts is a unique learning area with each subject involving different approaches to arts practices, creativity and higher order thinking to support specific knowledge, understanding and skills. By examining past, current and emerging arts practices in each art form, The Arts fosters students who are innovative thinkers, adept communicators and excellent team players.
Involvement in The Arts can begin in Year 7 with each subject focusing on its own practices, terminology and unique ways of looking at the world.
