Students aged 14 years and over who are currently enrolled at school are eligible to participate in work experience. Each student may complete up to 30 days of work experience per school year.
Work experience provides valuable insight into a chosen industry or occupation. It allows students to observe workplace tasks and responsibilities firsthand, while also engaging with professionals in the field. Gaining this exposure helps students make informed decisions about future career pathways.
Please note that work experience is unpaid; however, it can lead to future opportunities such as casual employment or a School-Based Apprenticeship or Traineeship.
Students may undertake work experience during school holidays. Year 11 and 12 students also have the option to attend on Wednesdays.
In addition, all Year 10 students are required to complete a compulsory five-day placement as part of the Year 10 Work Education Program.
