Caloundra State High School offers Signature Programs in the areas of Academics, Athletics and the Arts, providing students with opportunities to develop their talents and reach their full potential.
Our Academic Programs support and challenge high-achieving students, helping them extend their learning and maximise their potential. Our Athletic Signature Programs are delivered in partnership with local and regional sporting organisations and are led by experienced industry professionals. Our Arts Signature Programs develop students' talents in Dance and Music through specialised training, regular performance opportunities, and participation in regional eisteddfods and fanfares.
Participation in all Signature Programs requires a significant commitment of time and effort, including activities outside of normal school hours.
Entry to all programs is by application. Some programs also require students to participate in a trial or audition as part of the selection process.
Conditions of acceptance and continuation in a program:
- Maintaining an attendance rate of 85% or higher
- Following the school dress code
- Consistent positive engagement in learning and high standards of conduct
- Completion and submission of all assessment tasks by the due date
- Being prepared for learning, including a connected and charged laptop
- Being prepared with all specialist uniforms, kit, equipment and footwear at all times
- Informing your teacher beforehand, if you are unable to attend training or rehearsals
- Participating positively in school life and positively representing the school in the community
- Representing the School at the Community ANZAC Day March on 25 April each year
- Having all school fees fully paid or up to date OR on a negotiated payment plan in which the agreed commitments are paid consistently.
