Parents and caregivers are requested to contact the school, prior to Home Group (8:40am) the morning a student is absent from school using the following methods:
If a student is absent without reason a text message will be sent to the parents/caregivers requesting a reply stating the student’s full name and reason for absence.
If a student arrives late to school, a note must be provided or contact made via the Student Absence Line, email or phone from the parents/caregivers explaining the reason for the late arrival.
If a student is late without reason a text message will be sent to the parents/caregivers alerting them to their student’s late arrival and arrival time. A reply text is requested stating student’s full name and reason for late arrival.
If a student needs to leave the school grounds early, a note must be provided or contact made via phone, or email allowing the student to receive a sign out slip from the office. This slip must be collected by the student before school or during either break times from the student counter. The student must present this slip to their class teacher at the time printed on it and can leave school to meet parent/caregiver at their arranged place. The student does not need to go via the office once they have the sign out slip. Teachers will not allow students to leave the class without a sign out slip.
Under no circumstances are students to telephone parents or caregivers during the day to leave the school grounds. If a student is unwell, or an emergency arises, students must present to the office, and parental contact will be made via the office staff.
We ask that parents do not contact students directly during school time to organise early departures but contact the office.
