Caloundra State High School's Rugby League Program, is an inclusive initiative open to male and female students in Years 7-12. Our program is designed to foster the holistic development of our students, on and off the field, emphasising both technical prowess and sportsmanship. Utilising Rugby League as a conduit, we aim to instil values of respect, responsibility, honesty, integrity, leadership, and teamwork among our participants.

Beyond the field

Central to our program's ethos is the cultivation of individuals with strong convictions who contribute meaningfully to society. We offer a diverse range of extra-curricular activities aimed at enhancing social development, fostering confidence, discipline, and improving on/off-field performance for all participants. Our rigorous monitoring ensures that student conduct, attendance, performance, and commitment to academics and other activities are upheld to the highest standards.

We offer a comprehensive theoretical program designed to broaden students' engagement with Rugby League. Aligned with the Australian Curriculum for Health and Physical Education (H.P.E.), topics cover exercise physiology, sports psychology, coaching, refereeing, strength and conditioning, nutrition, injury prevention, career development, and sports administration. Moreover, Year 11 & 12 students undertake a Certificate III in Sport & Recreation, contributing to their Queensland Certificate of Education. Our senior students also actively engage in community initiatives, promoting Rugby League across the Sunshine Coast region through coaching clinics and officiating at local events.
