Caloundra State High School Surfing Program, is open to experienced surfers in Years 7-12 to immerse themselves in the dynamic world of surfing. With the stunning Kings, Moffat, and Dicky Beaches all within close proximity, coupled with the support of our local partners, our program offers a comprehensive platform for students to refine their technical skills and deepen their understanding of beach environments.
At Caloundra State High School, we believe in nurturing the passion and talent of our surfers by providing them with a diverse range of experiences and opportunities. Our program goes beyond the waves, encompassing practical aspects such as board making and repair, as well as surf survival skills. Through hands-on learning experiences, students not only enhance their surfing abilities but also develop invaluable practical knowledge that extends beyond the surf.
Central to our program is the emphasis on participation and representation. Students have the exciting opportunity to proudly represent Caloundra State High School in both local and state-level surfing competitions. Whether they are competing for individual accolades or contributing to the success of our school team, students are encouraged to showcase their skills and sportsmanship on the waves.
Our program is enriched by the expertise and guidance of our dedicated coaches and mentors, who provide personalised instruction and support to each student. With a focus on skill development, strategy, and safety, our coaches empower students to push their boundaries and reach new heights in their surfing journey.
